Call Me

Jeremiah 33:3  Call unto me and I will answer thee and show thee great and mighty things which thou knowest not.

As I was reading this scripture this morning, I was overwhelmed with the fact that although God knows everything and can do everything, He still waits on us to ask.  He allows us to continue on our own path until we finally realize that we need His help.  He has a wonderful plan for our lives and wants to help us become the person He created us to be.  But He doesn't control us, He lets us choose.

This is a good lesson for me to learn in my own life as a mother.  So many times, because I feel I know what is right for my children, I jump into the middle of their situations before I am asked. I am only trying to help but  the result is resentment.  They feel like I'm trying to control their life.  I have had to learn to wait for them to ask me for help or advise.  God knows what is best for us and He wants to give it to us but He does not pressure us in anyway.  He gently and lovingly reminds us that He is there and waiting for us to invite him into our lives.

Whatever you may be facing in your life that is hard for you, God has the answer.  Call upon Him and He will answer you.  He wants to show you the great and mighty things He has in store for us; but we must ask.
